I don't even know how to start this post. . . as always. I will try to make this short (and sweet :)
Kurt was doing an amazing job at the Police Department in Wells, ME. I absolutely loved everything about our town & our home and was getting very settled into my new life we had waited so long for and worked so hard for. It was beautiful living in a coastal town and seeing the ocean often was a dream come true in itself.
. . .but Kurt decided that it was not what he wanted to do for the rest of his life and he didn't like criminal justice very much at all. It was all very sudden and shocking, but he ended his job and we came back to Massachusetts.
We are now living with my parents, well, in the camper. We have lost a lot of money with all that goes into moving. I know that may not make sense but when you change from state to state you have to pay to do a lot of different things. And with Kurt being out of a job for over a month didn't help.
But thankfully, God has been working a lot out. We had a year lease in Maine that we were able to get out of without too much of a hassle. Kurt got his job back at W.B Mason driving delivery.
I have great parents that are letting us use their camper for the time being, which is such a blessing! My husband is safe and we had our 2 year anniversary in July. I do love him so much and am thankful for the adventures we have shared :)
Please pray for me to get a good job so we can get an apartment, and for Kurt as he tries to figure out his direction in life
Dreams are crazy to begin with, and even crazier when they are not what
you want in the end. But that is life, and life goes on. Things are
upside down right now, but God is still in the center, and we are still in love :)
Hope you all are enjoying your summer!!

New Job
I didn't take the job at Hampton Inn. I needed something that would work better around Kurt's Schedule and that would give possible weekends off when Kurt goes to academy so I can see him. So instead I am now starting work at Dunkin' Donuts. Eh, never thought I would be saying that. But it is the best option in Wells for schedule flexibility. I will probably be working over 30 hours. I will actually make more then I did at Kohl's when I include tips... and it is within a quarter mile from the police department which is great for gas. There were jobs I would much rather work in Kittery, but once you calculate in the 35 min drive plus tolls it really wouldn't have made sense.
So yes, training starts tomorrow. Five lovely hours on the computer.
Beautiful weather the past couple of days! We found a really nice mile long trail in wells and enjoyed walking that. Also a couple of walks on the beach and out on the rocks. I am looking forward to the Summer! I have really enjoyed our back deck these sunny days :)

Hampton Inn & Suites ??
I got a job offer from Hampton Inn & Suites. I was looking for a Front Desk Receptionist position, but they are looking for a Night Auditor. (I left my resume and application anyway) I thought they wouldn't look twice since my application was specifically for Front Desk but they want me for the Night Auditor position. 11:00 PM-7 AM four nights a week, as well as a day a week at the front desk if I want 40 hours. I was opposed to working nights, but with Kurt working mostly nights now, and then with him going to be gone four months at Academy (possibly in August), and then working all nights when he gets out. I might consider it. I'm going for an interview Sunday to get more details.
I really don't know what to think about it . . . I just want to do what works best for the both of us without our schedule clashing too much. Has anyone worked a shift similar to that? Any advice?
I am back at the Hansens. Kurt headed back home to work. Kiersten wasn't doing as well as they hoped over the weekend. She still has a constant headache. She went in for an MRI today. Tomorrow she may try a half day of school, but I will be here the rest of the week so Faith can teach full days.
It has been great to have time to read again! I just finished The Thorn by Beverly Lewis. I look forward to the next one :)

I haven't post a pic in a while so I thought I would post one from Easter. His eyes are partially open which is a success! ha ha we matched so well :P
We are at Kurt's family in Sidney, ME. I came up to do Kiersten's hair and make-up get for her school banquet, but she isn't going to be going due to her concussion. She is not doing well so please keep praying. It is a hard process recovering from a concussion.
Hoping for sunshine soon!

Kurt had Thursday, Friday, and Saturday off so we came to Massachusetts to help my parents do some clean up and painting at our old apartment in preparation for the new renters and to tie up some things down here. We came from the church we were visiting in Kittery, ME Wednesday night and it was only 1 1/2 hours from my family. Short drive!
Starbucks today and an Iced Caramel Macchiato . . . yum!!!!
Please pray for my sister-in-law Kiersten. She fell at school today and was in the hospital part of the day for a concussion. She can't play sports for 6 months, take any tests at school for a while, watch TV, play on the computer, read for long as well as other things. I'm sure this won't be a fun little bit for her. . .
Great thing about being with my family is the tradition of a nice big bowl of ice-cream in the evening!
Have one of your favorite treats tonight :)

Library
I am at the library. I got my card my first day living in Wells. :) They have a very cute library with lots of computers. And lots of people. I'm sure it will get even busier once summer hits.
The move went great! Our duplex is all set up and we love it!
Kurt had a good first week at work last week. Kiersten's school vacation was that week so she stayed with us the whole week. It was great to have company! We both shared in the excitement of Kurt coming home in full uniform with his gun belt with all its gadgets, bullet proof vest, stetson, etc and we did not know what to do with ourselves : ) A lot of changes going on for him and in our lives.
. . . . One not so exciting one is me ironing all of his uniforms *cough* It is difficult and extremely stressful all this pressure put on perfectly starched seams in particular places. With no one to show me how. . . I think after many hours I have got them good enough to wear. I sure hope so because they let him know how important it is the he iron them a certain way. How the job got passed to me I am not sure. But I take this duty very seriously : )
Kiersten is now gone so my house is terribly quiet. I have been doing everything and nothing to sum it up! Although it is in ways nice to have a break. The day after we moved I had to go back to mass to my doctor. It seems I had a bit of pneumonia on my lungs and it was kicking up my asthma. My inhalers and neb treatments weren't working enough so I was put on prednisone and an antibiotic. I think I am mostly better except for a cold. So resting has been good.
I will be applying to a couple of jobs. We will see where this goes. . .
Until my next trip to the library,
Coralie Rose

Tomorrow
We are moving tomorrow. To be completely honest, I am trying to talk myself into being excited. Yes I know, I have a dream life at the moment. But I spent a lot of my years in Auburn and the surrounding towns. Many fun days at Blackstone Valley (I am sitting at Barnes & Noble now with Aly) and yes, I get attached to where I live and the places I go everyday just about as much as I do to people. Familiarity is my friend I guess :) No matter what in life there is always home, or Dunkin around the corner, or the grocery store down the road that sells wonderful comfort food. Or just the roads I drive habitually when there are several ways to go. . .
Change is good for me, of course. I have lived in 5 different states and moved 8 different times. I was sad for a few days but am now back to my normal self smiling at the future. One more night at our apartment and then on to set up a new home! :)
Hope everyone is enjoying their week, and smiling at their future :)
